In every season of life, there are always new expectations. We often give heed to expectations, however, whenever they are in our best interest. If it is a new opportunity, idea or possibility, we tend to think that it is something to be anticipated with expectation.
Yet, if the events of the past year have taught us anything, it is to be wary of expectations. Unmet expectations can be quite disheartening, especially when things are beyond our control, and we don’t fully understand the reason why.
However, there are some expectations that are worth consideration. For example, the arrival of a new season of life, a newfound friend, or a new connection. These personal changes that often happen in the midst of what seems like an unexpected turn of events are actually a blessing in disguise. For the most part, what seems like expectation of certain changes to occur in due course are actually worth the wait.
For our team at ReachAcross, we have found that a new season of growth and change is a somewhat natural turn of events, but something that is never taken for granted. We have learned that through our many changes in the past year, both at an organisational level and at a local level, we have learned the value of learning from changes that have already happened, and waiting in expectation for that which is yet to occur.
We look forward to journeying with you as we anticipate and expect the future together.
