Starting something new can be somewhat daunting. But when ReachAcross opened our first
Brisbane support branch office, we knew the possibilities, and we also knew the risks. Thankfully, things have gone quite well, despite the challenges of COVID-19.
As our growing team continues to expand, so do the opportunities set before us. We are really excited to have expanded our partnership base to include various Christian mission agencies, churches, faith-based businesses and nonprofits, as well as community and youth
organisations. These collaborations with partners and supporters have helped to expand our
horizons and be more intentional about local engagement within our city of Brisbane.
We have also been developing our online strategy to include young people in both our primary focus and mode of engagement, as well as a reflection of our core team of staff and volunteers.
For all of us, it has been a steep learning curve, but one that we have learned to embrace.
As much as our environment has changed, we have continued to grow to meet the needs of our community as well. From hosting workshops and trainings, to delivering hampers to needy families, we have been able to assist in each emerging opportunity as has been presented to
In anticipation of the New Year, we have recently launched our Change for Change campaign; which was predicated off the success of our inaugural fundraising dinner. This ensures that the continued contributions to the work of our mission will be received on an ongoing, long-term basis. As a way to also be more effective in taking care of our local environment, we will be taking steps to reduce waste in our city and also contribute to our mission simultaneously.
We ask that you continue to stand with us as we embrace these opportunities together.
