Right On Time
Have you ever wondered why things never happen according to your schedule?
I recall my childhood vividly; there was a set schedule, mainly consisting of eating, sleeping, playing, and repeating this cycle every day. The strange thing was, I never seemed to grow tired of the set schedule, until, of course, it changed.
Life often doesn’t go according to our schedule, despite the best of intentions. We often find ourselves planning out our day, week, month, perhaps even a year ahead, but there are schedule conflicts, time clashes, rearranged appointments, meetings, deadlines, and things go awry.
However, there is a constant that never changes, and that is time itself. No matter how we slice it, there are always 24 hours in a day, seven days in a week.
I am constantly reminded in Scripture that God operates outside of time, yet always comes through when we need Him the most.
As it says,
“The salvation of the righteous comes from the Lord; he is their stronghold in time of trouble.”
- Psalm 37:39
In other words, the Lord may not operate according to your schedule, but He is always right on time.
